30 Day Return / Refund Policy
We understand antennas can be a bit of a trial and error, so we offer both pre-sales support (before you buy) and a 30 day return policy, but please read the full terms of this policy below:
IMPORTANT RETURN TIPS:
Tip #1: Never ship the items back to the same address they were shipped from (we ship from multiple fulfillment centers and they won't know how to process them or whom they belong to when sent back to them with a standard return label, and consequently the item(s) will get misplaced/lost), please ship them to our Return Address in Indiana as listed on thie page
Tip #2: Before returning items, you must contact us first for a RMA #.
Tip #3: Save your returned shipment's tracking numbers, and please email them to us so we can also track your return.
Tip #4: If it's a broken or defective item return and/or not getting channels as you should, please send us pictures of the installed item first, just to rule out it's not an install issue. or something else we can solve/fix for you. We are TV reception experts and in most cases we can resolve these issues for customers with just a little info and/or photos.
Tip #5: Often reception issues aren't due to the antenna, there are a magnitude of install, equipment, or other issues that can effect reception. We're happy to help troubleshoot and go through common issues. Please contact us for free post sale technical support, just to see if we can solve the reception issue prior to taking the antenna down.
Tip #6: Never alter, paint, customize the antenna as this will avoid both the warranty and items will not be refundable for items that have been modified, (i.e. drilling into, removing / adding items to, hard bonding / gluing items onto, or painting the antenna and/or parts). The items will not be returnable if these actions to the antenna and its part thereof are done by the customer, as they will no longer be in a resellable condition)
Returns & Refund Terms:
We offer a 30 Day Return Policy on any products purchased through our site for any return reason. The terms are as follows:
We will gladly accept returns for any reason, for up to 30 days of item's delivered date, (even If the item is not defective), however the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs/return label. The exception is if we are replacing a defective item part/item. If you have received an item with broken or faulty parts, we may pay all shipping costs to replace the items / parts for replacements on defective returns only, if deemed defective by our staff, (please see broken and defective item replacements paragraphs further down this page for more details or contact us for assistance).
We also back up our products by including a two year warranty on all Range Xperts brand of antennas.. We may replace parts after 30 days of ownership if it fails under normal operations per the terms of our 2-Year Warranty Policy.
*Note: for returns due to reception issues, before uninstalling the item(s), please kindly send us a photo of the installed antenna and/or item(s) along with a list of channels you're are trying to get, just in case we can help. You would be surprised, in most cases we can solve reception issues, wthout needing to go through the return process.
In most cases we do not charge restocking fees if all pieces are returned and the packaging box is returned in as arrived condition, however if an item is returned without all pieces, and/or with damages to item or packaging, a restocking fee may apply to help offset such restocking, missing parts, and/or impaired conditions costs.
Items Will Not Qualify for Refund If:
Returns will be denied for items that have been painted, chemicals added to, bonding, altered, modified, or heavily destroyed by the customer. Examples of modified / altered may include, but not limited to: adding bonding, spray painting, or chemicals added to, drilling extra holes into, dismantling or tampering with connection boxes, drilling or modifying the antenna, removing / adding items to, gluing / bonding things on the antenna and/or its parts by the customer.
Before a return is mailed, we must be contacted beforehand to provide a RMA number Our return address is also listed further down this page below.
Returns are not accepted beyond 30 days after ownership (based on delivered date), however Range Xperts brand of antennas manufacturing defects may be covered for up to 2 years via the replacement part warranty.
Return and RMA# Expiration:
After a Return RMA # is issued by, the item should be delivered back to us within 2 weeks (14 days). We also reserve the right to deny return requests that are requested more than 30 days of the item(s) delivered date or for items not delivered back to us within 14 weeks after we've issued a Return RMA number.
Reception Problems / Returns:
Please send us a photo of your install along with a brief explanation of the problem, as we are excellent troubleshooters and resolve these in most cases without a return. There may be something simple overlooked, that we may spot and resolve for you or just a small adjustment or addition to the install for example, so it's well woth the effort to send us a photo of the intalled antenna along with some mnior details of the install and a list of channel's you're having torubles with!
If you're having a reception issue, please, please don't dissemble the antenna prior to sending us photos of it installed and giving us at least a day or two to respond. This will also help us greatly in determining if item is defective that we can replace at no cost to you. So please also send us a photo and allow us an opportunity to respond with some guidance first before taking the antenna down, in case we can fix your issue for you without needing to return such item. It is both our goals for you to achieve excellent reception after all, so please lets work together in this regard.
For Defective & Received Damaged Antenna / Product(s):
If the item was received damaged through shipping or deemed as defective through troubleshooting, we may also offer a free replacement option, for these return replacement types only, we'll also cover all return shipping costs from and shipping costs to for the replacement product and/or replaced parts. After 30 days of ownership, our brand of Range Xperts antennas may also covered under the terms of our 2 year part replacement warranty.
However, if buyer declines free replacement option, but rather just no longer wants or need the antenna any longer, we will still honor the return request regardless, however buyer is responsible for all shipping costs/shipping labels, and the shipping the item back to us at their cost, before a refund will be issued. Please note, for defective item returns. please send us photos of the broken parts for our verification or if it's reception issue, please send us a photo of the installed antenna along with which channels you are and aren't receiving, as we need to at least verify the item is indeed defective or broken, prior to item replacement, and not just something that needs fixed with the install for example..
If an item arrived damaged due to shipping or is deemed defective upon arrival or within 30 days, for item or part replacements only, we will gladly replace the item or part and cover all shipping costs to, plus cover the return shipping from, for the original item as well.
Before a Return is shipped back to us, we must also be contacted beforehand to provide a RMA number, and the proper Return Address.
There are so many variables and situations that may not be aware of that are culprits to bad reception (just some examples are listed further down), as such we.need some info and photos to to determine if an antenna is truly not working like it should and/or is indeed defective or another issue is the culprit, prior to sending an item replacement.
Before offering a free replacement at our cost, we reserve the right to ask for photos of the installed antenna along with some basic info such as which channels are and are not coming in. You may be surprised, in most cases we can fix and/or resolve reception issues with just a photo and a little troubleshooting together with the customer. We are great problem solvers in this field, however If the item still isn't working properly as it should despite our troubleshooting, we will offer a replacement of such defective item or part at our cost for the buyer. We will pay the return shipping for defective item / part replacement returns only, the buyer to pay return shipping and provide shipping the return lable for item no long wanted / changed mind returns.
Please note: the amount of channels after an install doesn't necessarily deem an item defective and no guarantee is made or implied of how many channels are picked up (if any) as it's different with every install and area, due to several highly impactful variables. Although, it's very common for an antenna to initially be blamed for a poor reception result, in many cases it may not the culprit.
Common issues related to poor recpetion also range from the item may be assembled or installed incorrectly, (which is why we kindly ask for a photo of the installed antennna), or something very close obstructing such as a large neighboring building in the way, or large terrain obstructions (i.e. large hill or mountain ranges) in the way, such that there is no signal above the noise (NM) or simply a lack of channels avail in an area.
Lost / Misplaced Items:
We mainly use UPS or USPS (US postal service) for our shipping and items are insured through transit, however this coverage ceases once item has been delivered per the carriers tracking. We are not liable for lost / stolen packages or items after they have shown successful delivery based on such carrier's tracking. If you're in an area that has a history of lost or stolent items, we kindly ask to make alternative shipping arrangements (such as pick up at the local center) instead at home.
Additional Factors that WIll Degrade Reception:
Many other factors also influence the amount of TV channels received and results may vary greatly and will be highly dependent upon area, mounting position/location, the type of station(s) (i.e. normal or very low power stations), a high install loss setup (i.e. 100ft or more coax cable runs or running several TVs from a single antenna via splitters will often necessitate the use of a signal amplifier or booster to replenish high install loss), additionally the direction the antenna is aimed vs the directions of the various stations, man made and/or terrain obstructions severely blocking the path or shielding out the signals, improper installation, improper assembly , a faulty coax cable or coax connector on the cable itself, the condition and quality of other aging equipment added to the install (i.e. cabling, signal amplifiers. splitters, external tuners), and so forth, will all greatly impact the result.
Some materials nearby or in the way can be impossible to penetrate through, shield out signals or even detune an antenna's operating frequency. For example, mounting antennas indoors inside apartments, condos, or homes with concrete, brick, or rock/stone walls or with metal / aluminum siding will also inevitably create reception difficulties (if any receptional at all). These materials will greatly block out stations entirely unfortunatley. Even outdoor mounted tv antennas mounted high outside will have issues if nearby buldings, homes, barns, garages, vehicles are impeding the necessary path to the tower(s). The best method to mitigate nearby man-made obstructions with an outdoor antenna is to mount it high enough, (if possible) such that neighboring structures are not blocking it's path toward the necessary direction of the TV towers.
Restocking & Shipping Fees:
- A restocking fee may apply on all missing items and/or broken, damaged items as result of customer misuse.
- Buyer to pay return shipping costs, except for replacement returns of defective items or parts (we'll cover the shipping only for item replacements of defective items, once verified by one of our technicians (photos of broken part and/or install may also be needed)).
- Original shipping fees or charges are not applicable for refund on non-defective related item returns.
- Special order items by customer request may not be eligible for returns.
- A return or refund initiated more than 30 days after original purcahse may be declined, however may still be eligible for warranty part replacement under the terms of our 2 Year Warranty of such broken item or part.
- Buyer is responsible for return shipping costs/fees to our return address.
- RMA number required with all Returns
- Returned items should be sent in original packaging and without writing or shipping labels on the packaging (items should be placed with an exterior shipping box.
A restocking fee(s) may apply for:
- Not all parts/pieces included with return
- Damaged or missing packaging box, or Writing or placing Shipping Labels directly on the retail packaging.
- Missing or torn up owners manual
- Damaged / scratched parts / pieces or related that harm resale value
How to Initiate a Return:
To request a return, contact us by the email listed below. Typically refunds or replacements are processed within 2 to 3 business days of receiving the returned item.
